The prophet looked at the battlefield. Despite the horror of Seros's miscast things seemed to be turning in there favor and of course he felt amazing. Raising his cane into the air he hurled it the figure in front of him.

The cane flew true but the figure easily deflected it with his blade. Scowling he turned to the dwarf and vampire and backed up to not be flanked by his adversaries.

*Go Valmir! I choose you!*

Growling at the man that lay before him in the dirt, Valmir pounced once more with the intent to tear him to shreds.

Deflecting Valmir's attack the man on the ground lunged forward with his blade as Valmir flapped his wings and jumped backwards out of reach of the deadly weapon.

Turin, Teheboq, and Seros you're up. (*Apologies on the delayed posting. I am dealing with a lot of crap including, but not limited to, insect infestations and medical emergencies)

Safely back from the melee, Seros was on his knees, clutching the earth, struggling to contain the magic sputtering out from his body, summoning the souls of the damned. The Changer was displeased, clearly. But what was he to do, but endure? Persevere? He had little choice.

Struggling to stand Seros knew he had to persevere. He had no alternative. Once again summoning the flames of tzeentch with a careful eye towards the earth making sure no more stray souls wanted to feed from his essence. Closing his eyes he felt the familiar warmth of fire in his fingertips. As suddenly as the he felt the heat the cloaked figure fighting Valmir burst into flames. Screaming the man collapsed to the ground as the flames slowly ate away at what was left of his flesh.

Wiping the filth from his lips Teheboq glared at the wretched stone before him. While the disease-worshiping human presented a threat to the Saurus in his poisons, they were nothing compared to the obelisk's malevolent power. Poisons were also something Teheboq had some experience in. Taking one of the black mushrooms from his pouch, Teheboq quickly shoved it in his mouth and began to chew. The fungus would slow Teheboq's metabolism and heart rate, slowing the rate at which the poison would spread through his body while simultaneously giving more time for his body's natural defenses to break down the poison. He would have to deal with the after-effects of the mushroom once the battle was finished, but for now it allowed him continue fighting. Invigorated temporarily by the mushroom, Teheboq felt some of the strength the spirits had robbed him of return. Raising his sword Teheboq brought it down with all of his strength on the glowing rock.

The obelisk glowed again sending angry swarms of flies to attack the intruders.

Seeing Teheboq attempting to destroy the obelisk the last remaining nurgle worshipper threw himself onto the back of the Saurus.

The punches and weak strikes with his dagger did little to pierce or even really annoying the heavily built saurus who shrugged off the attacks as though his attacker were a mere child.

Valmir, Seros, Turin, and Teheboq I choose you!

Glaring at the abominable stone, Teheboq's body shook with the rage he had summoned. So locked into his fury the Saurus was entirely unaware of the cultist desperately attacking him. Raising his sword, Teheboq brought it down heavily onto the stone, barely scratching the surface. A second time the Saurus raised his sword and brought it onto the pillar, with similar results. Faster and faster Teheboq continued to bring his blade crashing down onto the stone. The savage blows were executed without skill, and they were taking their toll on the blade as tiny cracks began to form at the edge of the bone. Still Teheboq continued, his mind focused purely on ruining the obelisk.

The immediate threats neutralized, it was time to look into destroying this foul artifact of Nurgle. The saurus was already knee-deep in that endeavor - Seros approved of his fury, so long as it remained aimed somewhere other than him.

Seros moves two zones closer to the obelisk.

Peering down a the smoldering corpse of his intended victim for a moment, Valmir whipped his body around and locked his eyes on the single remaining figure-- his eyes still glowing with hatred as he stalked forever, his claws stretching and flexing at the air.

Move forward.

Next Up Obelisk

The obelisk bright green and magic almost seemed to be pouring out from the pieces of chipped rock. The green liquid sprayed and sloshed leaving globs of puss and acid on whoever it touched.

Seros take 1 damage. Turin's ward save passed.

Valmir takes 2 damage.

Teheboq takes 3 damage. (-1 from adrenaline rush the previous post I forgot to enter in.)

The last cultist was panicked. Everything seemed to be going horribly wrong. The lizardman before him shrugged off his attacks and more of its allies were closing in behind him. Looking up at the obelisk he felt a warmth fill his chest it was good Nurgle had given them his blessing. Noticing a gap in the armor around Teheboq's neck he swung his dagger forward.

Shaking his shoulders Teheboq tossed the cultist to the ground, his grip weakend from preparing to strike.

The prophet sat down exhausted wiping the sweat from his brow. His magic was nearly spent he would be of little use to the party for the duration of the battle. He needed to recuperate.

Seros turned his magic on the obelisk, attempting to cleanse the presence of Nurgle from it with the Changer's fire.

Red Fire.

Teheboq's rage continued unabated by the obelisk's magic.

As Seros cast the red fire the obelisk glowed brightly with its dark magic, the ancient wards and writings protected it from harm.

The dark runes that protected the great stone from the last spell also shielded it from Teheboq's blows as they rained down upon the stone.

Breathing raggedly, Valmir eyed the other cultist carefully as he considered it's threat level. Deciding that it was time to end this fight for good-- he flared his wings back with a fair amount of effort and charged towards the obelisk...

Valmir charged forward but the fatigue and magic was getting to him. His stride slowed and he struggled just to walk. He fell to the ground just before reaching the obelisk.
