Bringing his cleaver around the marauder launched another attack at the king. Unable to avoid the attack Zaket brought his claws up to block. There was a loud grinding sound as metal pushed on metal but Zaket was able to push back the attack.

Watching his ally burned to death by the foul magics of his patrons rival god sent the marauder into a frenzy as he slashed out at Maelkur.

Lunging forward the marauder struck Maelkur blow after blow. The unnatural speed of the vampire was the only thing keeping from standing as he blocked blow after blow barely catching each blow before they connected.

Seros, Zaket, and Maelkur you're up.

Seros turned back to the dual wielding marauder. "There, you see? Now I can pay attention to you. The Changer has gifts enough for all of you, brother."

Red Blade on M2

As Ushabti fell to his opponent the Old King recalled the drawbacks of his golem pet. A creature that could not feel pain had no conviction to stay alive. The moment was short lived as the next attacker lunged at the the Tomb King Zaket VII hoping to catch him off guard. The blade was blocked with his free talon, the edge still cutting deep into his arm as he deflected the blow.

"You must strike at me with greater force, your blows are not that different from a child's." The Old King whispered to the warrior.

Taking note of his position, he decided it best to perhaps bless one of his allies if only for this battle.

"Seros, might you feel the power of the Old Empire?"

Knocking away one of the marauder's blades with the back of his free hand, Maelkur's mouth split into a playful grin as he feinted out with his sword arm and allowed the marauder to deflect an attack of his. It had not been truthfully aimed or prepared to actually hit, it was simply to keep the marauder thinking about him rather then any of his compatriots since he seemed to have the most experience actually fencing an opponent, though Zaket's resilience surprised even the well-learned Maelkur. Ducking underneath a furious axe-strike, Maelkur allowed his blade to touch the ground for a split second as he brought it up vertically in an uppercut against the marauder.

Maelkur's blade swept up catching the marauder unaware. As the vampire ducked underneath the furious axe swipe. As the second one swung in low Maelkur's blade caught the mans throat as the pommel crashed into his jaw. The man flew back a spray of blood erupting from his throat.

The marauder barreled forward towards King Zaket, the one who summoned the beast that had hurt him. Zaket calmly watched as the man charged him raising up but a single hand to stop his charge. Raising his shield the marauder smashed into Zaket's arm breaking it in several places with a loud crunch. Knocking Zakets arm aside the marauder began slashing at the tomb kings chest with his blade.

Spurred on by his allies charge the marauder brought his cleaver into the side of the distracted king. Blade hit bone as armor and bits of bone flesh through the air. There was a large hole in Zaket's side as the bits of bone and metal littered the floor.

Everyone can go again. Seros, Zaket, Maelkur.

Seros watched impassively as both marauders struck the Tomb King. Solid blows, but he seemed to endure sufficiently. It was for the best that they all be wounded, anyway - no one would get any funny ideas.

Attack M1

Even as he ran the blade through the throat of the marauder he had been fighting, the elven vampire was already in process of whispering the words to the deadly spell that had spelled the doom for the first of the chaos mortals which had been slain. While he had little hope of it getting through what seemed like the spell combating wards of the cave and of the warriors, he hoped it might slow the fighter long enough for him to take his measure and close for swords.

Sadly Maelkur's plan was not to be as the marauder closer faster then he expected... right into the tomb king. With a slight shrug at the convenience, Maelkur let the spell die on his lips as he dove into battle these two fighters that thought their battle won from the start.

<Actions>
Attack M1.

The wounds were severe and as the Great King slumped forward after the strike he could not help but feel perhaps relieved. In his time on the island thus far he had yet to meet a challenger who could strike him well, let alone actually wound his immortal vessel.

These two, in their displays of martial combat, had perhaps brought the Tomb King Zaket VII a great pleasure. Quickly his broken and twisted arm was whirled in a circular motion, loud cracking heard as the bones rejoin themselves to form his arm.

“Your means to destroy me are pointless. Death is a stranger to me.”

Zaket VII had two choices, the more obvious to continue the assault.

“Vampire, might you move a bit quicker?”

Seros sidestepped quickly as the marauders attacked the tomb king. Seeing the shielded one distracted with his guard down from the recent blow Seros lunged forward. His rapier point caught the man square in the back and with a pop he withdrew his blade. Seros was rewarded with a grunt of pain and a thin trickle of blood from the wound he had caused.

The words of Zaket seemed to wrap and twist around Maelkur's arm. Realizing his limb was not acting on its own threw Maelkur off as his own arm slashed forward. Spotting the attack the marauder easily blocked the blow with his shield.

Maelkur pulled his blade out from the wooden shield of his opponent and spun around bringing the blade low slashing at his foes ankles. The marauder caught the longblade with the end of his own knocking aside the attack.

Feeling the sudden surge of pain in his back the marauder spun around slashing his blade at his assailant. Seros stepped back quickly swiftly parrying the attack.

The marauder with the cleaver swung once more colliding with Zaket's skull. With the snap his skull was bent at a 90 degree angle. Zaket reached up and snapped his skull back into place and turned towards the man.

Seros, Zaket, and Maelkur are up.

The strike to the Tomb King Zaket VII's mask had been in vain, for as long as his immortal spirit remained active, the mask could not be destroyed. Correcting his spine however was a different matter. The Old King was annoyed now with his allies for lacking the ability to trust in his guidance. The Great King's blessing had to be believed, a trait that both his allies seemed to lack in.

"Vampire, you must trust me to guide your blade. Again now."

Seros deftly avoided the marauder's attack. "It would be too much to expect you to surrender now, wouldn't it? Even seeing that you are horribly outmatched, you must continue fighting, until your deaths. I am sorry, brother. A wiser man could survive to fight another day, in your position... but no one has ever accused the followers of Khorne of being wise."

Seros quickly parried another blow from the marauder. Parrying another blow Seros stepped in delivering a quick riposte. The tip of the blade pierced the marauder's flesh. The norseman seemed immune to the pain as he swept in slashing wildly.

As the tomb king spoke the flat side of the marauders cleaver smashed into his side knocking the king several feet to the side the magic disrupted by the force of the blow.

Maelkur dove in quickly while the marauders attention was focused elsewhere. The marauder spun around the second before the blow struck home deflecting it with his shield.

The marauder slashed wildly in all directions as his foes began to circle him. The blows were fast and strong but clumsy, like a wounded animal. Seros stepped in for another attack but moved too close as the marauder's blade slammed into the side of his armor sending him tumbling back. He was bruised but it was not a serious injury.

The cleaver of the marauder once again smashed into Zaket. There was a snap as Zaket's right leg broke off of his body. With a gesture the leg rose from the ground and reattached itself to its proper position.

Spinning about as the marauder blocked his attack with his shield, Maelkur snapped up his left foot and kicked the shield out of the way-- it would not be a problem this time around. With the marauder's shield out of the way and an opening created, the vampire lunged in for an attack.

Attack M1

Did his enemies not understand their dire situation? Quickly The Tomb King Zaket VII felt his leg be removed by cleaver, and quicker still did the leg rebound itself with gesture to be drawn back to its master. The Old King grew tired of his enemies now, their imaginations were no doubt as lmited as their chances of surviving this combat.

Looking to his right the Old King noticed several wounds on Seros, this wouldn't do.
