(sorry, I meant retreat entirely. I wasn't sure how fleeing worked, and thought I might have to dash away from enemies or something. No, I just want to get out of Dodge)

Re: Securing the Lumberyard (*Completed - ish)
Scethan dove into the forest the cold one in hot pursuit. Dodging into the bushes he narrowly avoided the gnashing teeth. Sprinting through the undergrowth the Cold One lost his quarry quickly who was well versed running through the dense undergrowth. Gaining distance on his adversary Scethan grabbed Paelic's limp form and slung him over his shoulder. Looking over his shoulder Scethan couldn't see or hear the beast. About thirty minutes later Scethan dragged himself into town as the guards rushed out to escort him inside.
After spending some time in the hospital Paelic regained consciousness and Scethan was patched up. The guard captain was informed of the cold one attack on the lumberyard and their narrow escape.
"Well you performed well, although you didn't slay the beast the information you gathered at the risk of your lives is invaluable. We'll send our best hunters out to look for the beast. For the time being you may rest here. Don't worry a small reward for your services will be provided, we don't have much but it's something."
Mission Complete -
MVP - Scethan (*Shocker I know)
Loot- None
Gold - 2
Skill Points - 1
Town Rewards - Due to the knowledge of the attacks lumber may begin to flow again into the town as workers will gather during the time period when cold one's sleep and will be escorted by militia members. The mission is still available for those who wish to more permanently increase the supply lines into the town. Town is awarded with upgrades! By investing gold into the town players can increase its potential and shape its growth. These are detailed more in the status of Tameria post.
Extra: Due to the extra time your character has now milling around town Scethan is awarded an additional training post this week. Paelic shall spend the week recovering from his grievous injuries.

Scethan stood over Paelic's unconscious form, watching his labored breathing. The healer approached him slowly from behind. "He'll recover, but it will take time. You're about as good as you're going to get for now, just don't strain yourself too much."
Scethan nodded and slipped the two gold the guard captain had given him into the healer's palm. She looked down at it and said, "This is too much, really."
"Consider it an investment. We're in a dangerous place and have dangerous lines of work. Should I ever come in in as bad of shape as he's in, I'll want you in top form and not wanting for supplies," he said as he walked out of the healer's hut. He didn't mention that his mother had been a healer. She had taught him to respect life whenever possible (though she knew as a Glade Guard he would often be in no such position), which had motivated him to grab Paelic on his way out, even though abandoning him would have better ensured his own escape.
