There are three main changes I will be implementing to the current combat system.

1. DR is being changed from a per round effect to a static value that resets each fight effectively acting as an Hp instead of armor. The purpose of this is to heighten the distinction between DR and armor as well as make DR not basically better in almost all aspects. Also justifying the fluff for DR was a nightmare being a tiny regenerating shield that is basically armor but also blocks magic. All abilites that involve DR are being changed to static values.

2. In light of the last several fights the default hit for cast/spellpower/hit/and wound values will be changed to 40 instead of 50. This hopefully will speed up combats as well as make them more interesting. Apologies on the slowness. New systems are tough to get working properly and I'll be watching this issue as well as others in the future.

3. Melee attacks will now provide an additional effect on swing. Any time a character makes a melee attack against an adversary that adversary will become "Engaged" for 1 round or until that enemy is slain. Characters who are "Engaged" cannot charge, dash, or use ranged weapons and spells.

This should be an overall enhancement to tanking characters allowing them to fufill their roll more effectively by being able to become a physical obstacle.

Here is an example of the rule in action. 6 archers are standing in the same zone shooting at some nasty skaven. One skaven manages to avoid the arrows and run up to the archers. If the skaven attacks an archer that archer becomes "Engaged" and cannot use their ranged weapon. The other 5 archers are not engaged and can use their weapons. While they cannot use their bows on the one skaven in melee range they may freely fire at the other approaching enemies, or they may instead all choose to draw knives and stab the ratman. The archer who is engaged, however, has limited options. Being engaged in melee his options become limited to fighting back in melee or starting a retreat.

Hopefully things are clear. I am open to comments/suggestions/concerns.
