Adventures
This forum is reserved for any players to run an adventure. Any number of adventures may take place and your character may partake in any number of adventures at any one time.
Creating Adventures- Any player can create an adventure. When they do they will place a recruitment notice in the Adventure- Recruitment- Forum. It will remain open until they fill up the number of players they requested or until earlier if they wish to get started. Keep an eye out on this thread as its first come first serve. A player may not partake in their own adventure. They are responsible for creating the monsters, setting, dice rolling, and running the game.
During an Adventure- Your character's profile remains static. This means your character is the same when you start to when you finish. Should you complete a training event during the adventure you will not see the benefits until after the adventure is complete. This is to reduce confusion and so the GM can have a consistent record of character stats without having to update them every week.
Types of Adventures-
Roleplaying adventures- These adventures can be created by anybody. They are purely for fun and the experience of running and becoming familiar with the rules.
Official Adventures- Official adventures are ones that are created by moderators or by members who have been approved by an administrator (usually through running several successful Roleplaying Adventures). Completed Official Adventures in addition to fun and roleplaying have rewards. This is the only way to earn skill points. Each adventure will reward the players a number of skill points based off of the length, difficultly, and roleplaying quality of its participants. Magical items or loot may also be earned in these adventures although usually these are minor.
*You can only partake in one official adventure at one time*
Epic Adventures- These are major story driven adventures. Usually they are longer, more difficult, and progress the overall plot of the island. They are run exclusively by moderators, have many participants, and are where the best rewards can be found. Skill points are also earned as in an Official Adventure.
The loot will be divided by dice rolls. Players may receive a bonus based of awards given to them by the official running it. Such as best roleplayer or player of the match. The number of items will be dependent on the number of players. The player who receives the highest roll will get to select one item from the pile. The player with the next highest roll will then select an item etc.
