Players: Teheboq

Teheboq stood alone on the ramparts. The sun was setting and the weather was rapidly turning sour. Black clouds rolled in and the pitter patter of rain began to fall onto the wall. The saurus stood unmoving and unwavering. It wasn't long before a man with a lantern huddled beneath a drenched cloak walked up to Teheboq nearly bumping into the large lizard before noticing him. Startled the man spoke.

"Sigmar! Oh... you must be here about my posting." He scratched his head. "I'll be honest, I didn't expect anyone to actually take my offer. But uh thanks. Don't worry I'll pay you for your time of course, not that I have a lot of money mind you." The man chuckled awkwardly. "Uh is there anything you need before I take off to the taver... I mean church."

Teheboq turned his head for a moment to regard the man, studying him for a moment before returning to his original position silently. It was amazing that the wall hadn't fallen already if these were what its defenders were like.

The man stood awkwardly as Teheboq stared at him in complete silence. "Uhhh... well okay then. Carry on soldier!" He gave a quick salute and scuttled down the step into the maze of buildings.

Several hours passed at Teheboq stood on the wall getting progressively wetter as the rain continued to pour. As the night moved on his eyes began to get heavy as fatigue and cold were beginning to set in. He peered out into the darkness that led into the jungle.

His eyes couldn't see all that well but Teheboq was sure he could see small dark figures moving about just at the edge of the jungle. His head twisted to the side as an arrow flew right by his face narrowly missing his eye.

Teheboq let out as loud of a roar he could to alert the other guardmen before raising his shield and spear. "Enemies!" The Saurus shouted as he charged towards the figures.

Teheboq jumped off the top of the wall and there was an impressive shriek as he landed on something incredibly squishy. Looking down he found himself knee deep in spider guts. The oversized beast had been smashed completely and the goblin riding it lay next to him dazed and confused. The tiny greenskin was covered in tribal feathers and the teeth of beasts. It seemed savage to the lizardman, even for a greenskin. The figures in the jungle shrieked. Two goblins poked their heads out of the forest yelling at the large saurus shaking their bows at him in rage.

Teheboq blinked in surprise. He had heard tales of the giant spiders that greenskins sometimes used in battle, but to be standing inside of one was something else entirely. Teheboq shook the surprise from his mind and roared out, "Talibah! Battle!"

Summoned (*I'll let you write the fluff for her arrival)

Dazed Goblin (Becomes undazed)

The savage goblin before Teheboq stumbled its feet trying to regain its balance. It pulled a wicked curved blade from its shealth and advanced towards him.

Goblin Archers

The goblins shrieked as another fighter joined the fray. They quickly realized that shaking their weapons furiously at the large lizard was having little effect. Notching arrows they fired at the large saurus.

Teheboq felt his insides crawl as the poisons began to take their affect. Teheboq was stout, but he wasn't swift enough to dodge those archers for long, and after a few more hits from those poison-tipped arrows he'd be done for. "Talibah!" the saurus yelled, pointing at the enemy archers, "Attack!" To her credit, the cloaked woman dashed off towards the enemy archers without a moment of hesitation. Teheboq disliked sending her off into superior numbers, unproven as she was, but he had little choice, Teheboq simply couldn't move as fast as she could in his heavy armor. Letting loose a furious battle roar, Teheboq charged towards the enemy archers and threw the dented cannonball he had hidden behind his shield.

(*You should specify at the start of the fight but whatever its totally applied.*)

Talibah jumped off the wall and tucked into a roll as she landed, responding immediately to Teheboq's orders. Without stopped she dashed forward and sprinted forward with remarkable speed closing distance with the goblins before they could react. Teheboq was bulkier and quite a bit slower as he ran forward. How he had managed to hide a cannonball behind his shield but goblins shrieked as the large solid shot was shotputted through the air.

The second goblin desperately notched another arrow into its bow and aimed it at the giant saurus heading towards him.

The arrow imbedded itself in the top of Teheboq's foot where his bone armor didn't cover. The goblin gave a cheer as he saw blood appear on the wound. The small greenskin gave a scream as he realized it made little difference to the large lizard who plodded forward.

(*Goblin uses goblin special ability* - Coward's Flight - Free 1-zone move away from opponents.)

The goblin turned and began to run away. Already loading another arrow into its bow.

Larger Gobbo
The goblin saw the lizard and female charge right past him. With his wicked blade he grinned and stalked after the lizardman his speedy goblin feet easily keeping up with the encumbered lizard. He raised his blade high towards Teheboq's exposed back.

Teheboq noticed the sneaky goblin just in time and spun around blocking the goblins attack with his shield. The blade bounced harmlessly off the large bone plate.

Teheboq was almost thankful for the arrow sticking in him. If the pain hadn't snapped him out of his surprise at actually being able to hit something from a distance he would never have noticed the larger goblin behind him. He had hoped to help Talibah finish off the archers, but at least the more dangerous of the two was no longer a concern. Drawing his spear from his back, Teheboq lunged forward, hoping to score another quick kill as he aimed the spear tip for the goblin's stomach.

Meanwhile Talibah tried to keep from retching as she pulled a piece of goblin brain away from her eyes. Still, she thought, things could be worse. Talibah had watched the saurus for quite some time, and she knew that among his skills, aiming ranged attacks was not among them. Thankful that she hadn't been hit by the cannonball, Talibah centered her eyes on the remaining goblin archer. Reading the panic in his red eyes, Talibah charged forward, bringing her scimitar up in a move that would hopefully split the creature from groin to skull.

(P.S. Totally meant to mention the poison in the beginning but spaced it. To penalize myself I chose the stats it would impact randomly.)

The goblin jumped back as the blade slashed across his chest leaving a large gash. It screamed as its green blood poured from its gaping wound.

Teheboq crused his lack of focus. The large goblin had been able to strike him a blow while he watched Talibah's success, and Teheboq knew from the strange feeling in the wound that he had been poisoned somehow. "Talibah, battle!" Teheboq yelled to his pupil, hoping that she understood the command. Teheboq could ill afford another slip of focus when the goblin's attacks were poisoned. Keeping his eyes focused on his opponent's weapon, Teheboq continued his assault.

Wound

Teheboq stepped forward stepping over a large swing by the attacking goblin. He deflected another swipe and saw his open. His scaled foot pushed the goblin back as he thrust the weapon forward. The goblin had no time react but the tip was off slightly as it pierced the goblins shoulder sparing his organs. As he withdrew his weapon there was a sudden surge of pain in his chest as he felt his body temperature skyrocket. A red haze began to creep into his vision and he felt his hands began to tremble.

Teheboq's mind swam as he tried to peer through the red haze surrounding his vision. This was a poison unlike any he had ever experienced. Teheboq's normally cold blood was boiling, and he could hear his teeth grinding as he anticipated the blood that would come spilling out of the goblin in front of him. This wasn't good, he was already losing control to the poison. With an effort of will, Teheboq backed off for a second and saw Talibah out of the corner of his eye. Signaling her with his shield arm, Teheboq charged forward again, hoping a coordinated assault could take down the large goblin before the poison robbed him of his mind.

(Woops, I guess I'll only have it do Ws then)

Teheboq grinned as he saw blood flow from the Goblin's open wound. It felt so good watching it seep out and stain the ground as the goblin moved back after its failed attack. No, Teheboq shook his head, he had to keep focus. The pincer attack with Talibah had worked before, and with his poison slowing the goblin's reflexes, it would only work better the second time around.

Talibah began to understand Teheboq's plan. The lizard was picking the goblin off with small, sure attacks rather than a single blow like she was used to. For the moment she decided to follow his lead, stepping around behind the goblin before she and Teheboq attacked together.

Hit
40+20-30 = 30< 14 Miss!

- Take 2 damage for not damaging a foe.

(*Sorry forgot your last 3 Adrenaline rushes. I've been distracted)

Teheboq struck hard and fast delivering another steady attack to the torso of the goblin. The goblin smashed the blow into the dirt with the two-handed slash and the speartip hit the earth.

Talibah
40+15(20)-13 = 42 < 80 Hit!

40 + 14 - 12 = 42 < 90 Wound

Damage -
2-5 + S-T/5 - Arm
3 + 0 - 1 = 2 damage -> Goblin slain

Talibah saw her chance as the Teheboq stabbed at the goblin. This swing had been different than the previous ones, this much she knew and saw immediately what to do when the goblin smashed the blow down into the dirt. The move had set her up for the finishing strike. The goblin was weak and exhausted. With a quick step to the side she followed in Teheboq's image delivering a swift accurate strike across the goblins flank. It didn't do a lot of damage but to a small creature who had taken several such gashes before it was enough. The goblin's eyes rolled lazily in its head as it tried to step forward once again. It fell to the ground with a soft thud.

Victory! -Congrats!
